Reports of the Moto Droid 2 experiencing reception issues sound a heck of a lot like the iPhone 2 reception issues of yeter-month. Motorola has not yet responded to these claims formally but they were quick to make fun of Apple in advertisements to tout the droid frenzy that is upon us. It is not like complaints are not valid, as Engadget MobileCruch, Droid Life, Android Community, and UberGizmo have all confirmed reception issues.
Apple’s main defense when the complaints poured in was that ‘all’ smartphones perform this way. After the latest stir, they may have a point. Just browsing around I noticed that other professionals agree. That’s right, if a criminal defense attorney says the case against Apple is going nowhere, I’m going to believe him.
I believe the individual has little or no case against Apple because they will have a difficult time proving damages? It depends what the individuals goals are. How can they prove they were monetarily damaged.
Of course, you don’t need to take a bar exam to obtain common sense, but that won’t stop the haters from whoring out for headlines. I’m as interested as anybody as the the extent of the Droid 2 antenna issues and must admit ignorance on the entire issue. If motorola is smart they will sell bumper that don’t offer protection and give people a false sense of safety. That was marketing genius by Apple and no doubt kept people from buying protective cases, which can actually help to prevent screen cracks and repairs.
