There are many tablets on the market today, but it is difficult to choose the one that is right for you and your needs. To choose the tablet that is right for you, you should do a little research before making a purchase.

If you are thinking of getting a Kindle Fire or an ipad mini you might want to look at some of the different reviews on the internet. There are pros and cons to both the kindle Fire and the ipad mini.

If you are on a budget it will be cheaper for you to purchase a Kindle Fire. In fact you could purchase two Kindle Fires for about the same price as the ipad mini. The accessories for the Kindle Fire are also more reasonably priced than that of the ipad mini case or the ipad mini accessories. With the money that you save purchasing the kindle Fire you could order a subscription to Amazon Prime. This will allow you to watch movies and TV shows on your device.

The Kindle fire is a great reader with a ton of great books to purchase and read. Amazon also offers a number of book titles for free each week. The kindle Fire is considered a tablet and you can get different game apps for you and your children. In fact the Kindle Fire is child friendly and tends to have a lot of great apps to help children learn and to encourage them to read.

The ipad mini is a really great tablet that is geared more for adults than children. This is a much more expensive tablet that does have great apps for adults to play with or help them with their job and the projects that they need to complete for their jobs. Since ipad minis are so expensive you might be a little more apprehensive letting a little one play with it.

The ipad mini cases are really fun to purchase. They have a protective case that frames the ipad mini and does not cover the screen. This helps to protect the device if it falls. The Kindle Fire does not have a case similar to the ipad mini case. The cases that you can purchase for the Kindle fire completely cover the whole device. This could be something that you prefer over the other framed ipad mini case, but it is up to the individual.

When thinking of the most frequently used and most commonly known video formats on computers we have all heard of AVI. The AVI video format is very well imagined and structured file format for videos which saves up a lot of storage space. Storage space is not a problem if you have huge hard drives or other media to store your files on, but can become a problem whenever backups or data transfers are needed. This is why AVI always had a huge success.

As far as Apple products are considered, most of the Apple devices can synchronize media with the help of iTunes, a piece of software written for one purpose, which is to provide an interface that connects your regular PC or Mac to the iPod, iPad, iPhone or other similar Apple devices which are commonly known. The only problem with this is theAVI to iTunes conversion.

Apple had chosen to have the iTunes interface, so that when you need to purchase songs, media clips or other products you do that with the iTunes, but when it’s your own media you still use the iTunes. This is a smart idea, since synchronizing all of your devices from one place is really comfortable as a solution.

People who once had any other devices than the Apple products are used for different methods. For instance, simple MP4 movie players offer a huge support for various file formats. You only need to plug your device into the USB port and copy/paste all of the files you’ve intended to keep. Now, that is all simple with non-Apple devices, but the iPad and other i-devices can only speak the language of iTunes.

Of course you can handle all of your problems with professional conversion software. Almost any video conversion software might work, because iTunes does accept a couple of popular video file formats. However, for the ideal AVI to iTunes movie conversion you must always choose programs which are proficient enough to clearly handle your needs and to convert the AVI files with guaranteed results.

You may have family videos, funny webcam recordings with your friends and numerous other occasions when you will absolutely need to use AVI to iTunes conversion. These videos often require editing and you might righteously ask yourself, do you need separate software, do you need to learn a lot from the usage of each software and then you need a couple of hours to make it all happen, with only a couple of minutes long videos?

Luckily, the best software to handle AVI to iTunes movie conversions can do everything in-place, both the editing and the conversion process. You have focused on which seemed to be the best choice of these solutions, which is the Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate.

Known for several really valuable pieces of software manufactured and distributed, Aimersoft exceeded all of the clients expectations with the video conversion software as well. The best thing to do, whenever you need AVI to iTunes converted professionally, being compatible with iTunes-accepted video formats, you should go with Aimersoft. The interface is very simple to use and it takes a minimal amount of time to realize that you only need to import the AVI files, do the editing (if applicable) and then export to the iTunes movie format.

The iPad 4 was released with minimal fanfare, since it was on the heels of the much anticipated iPad 3. As such, not much changed in terms of repair. It still uses a ton of glue underneath the glass, making thing difficult. It still can be a messy job if you are not prepared. But what else?

Key Details:

One big difference with the 3rd and 4th generation iPads is the connector. The 3rd gen has a 30-pin dock connector and the 4th gen has the Lightning connector. It also comes with the Apple A6 Processor, 1.2MP Facetime HD camera lurking inside, with the ability to shoot 720p HD video and some other minor upgrades. All-in-all, much like the iPad 3 repair and teardown.

Tools:

Tools
Phillips 00 Screwdriver
Plastic Opening Tools
Spudger
Pry tools, guitar pics

Services:

Everyone offering Apple repairs should be covering this, likely with parts in stock. It’s the same LCD and Digitizer as the iPad 3 so they should have it in stock and if the do not, call them slackers.

The Google Nexus 4 is an amazing phone. If you have broke it, good news, it’s not too difficult to repair either. Outside of some pesky adhesive, the Nexus 4 is and easy teardown, with all parts and screws popping out with relative ease.

Key Details:

iFixit scored this repair a 7 out of 10. That may be fair. There have been reports that the screen is prone to breaking. It is a fairly heavy phones so this is no exactly shocking. A replacement LCD/Digitizer is expensive, so buy a protective case as an accessory and it will likely pay off. The glass is fused to the display and frame. So unless you are good with the heat gun, it is best not to break the glass or replacement of all of that will be expensive.

Only 15 total screws are used, all common.

Top Video:

No video yet. Coming soon!

Key Specs:

The Nexus 4?s spec sheet is nearly identical to the Optimus G’s, and that’s not a bad thing. It’s powered by the benchmark-busting Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core SoC, clocking-in at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM. For storage options you get 8 or 16GB flash with no expandable storage options. For cellular data, there’s pentaband UMTS (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz) with HSPA+ support, ans hidden support of LTE band 4 for Canada (and T-Mobile’s LTE in the future) if you flip-on LTE through the service menu. The LCD display is 4.7? and has a 1280×768 resolution, providing a pixel density of 320PPI. Powering the device is a non-removeable 2100mAh battery which can be charged wirelessly with a Qi-capable charging mat.

Services:

Any smartphone repair service who offers Droid repairs should cover this. Although, they likely won’t have parts in stock. Our suggestion is to get a price quote after first checking out the prices of parts. If their quote is more than $50 higher, tell them you already have the parts and will send them with the phone and get another quote. Someone will do it for $50 and maybe less if you have the part. As far as quality of repair, there are many repair techs, so always proceed with caution.

The GoPro Hero 3 looks pretty great in all colors: white, silver and black. It is no wonder that sales have been awesome, given the sexy specs and small size. A full review will be provided soon, as our order of the Go Pro 3 will be coming soon.

To date, I’ve yet to disassemble or repair a GoPro Hero 3. But looking over at at iFixit and you can see that disassembling the GoPro 2 is fairly straight forward (easy, for the experienced). With water damage this can be crucial in order to clean off the motherboard or simply allow to dry as quickly as possible. For anything else though, plan on having a tough time finding a part or service to help out.

The GoPro 3 should have a lens available for sale and LCD touchscreen replacement. The cost could be high and options limited but they should be able to be found. After that, searching around for broken GoPro’s or finding others who have accumulated working parts from broken GoPro’s could be your best bet. If you got the GoPro 3 white version, why bother? Buy new, it’s probably best.

If you bought the silver or black version, exploring the possibilities of repair may be worth it. It’s hard to say for sure but that’s how it looks right now.

I’ve seen it said that these awesome camera toys are not meant to be fixed. That is not true but the demand for part is not strong enough to make it untrue. They can be fixed. The problem is in finding parts.

Every new Apple product generates mass hysteria as excitement builds up and then when something like iPad repair has to be done, the excitement turns to confusion. Contrary to the professional marketing work of Apple, the iPad and other Apple gadgets do get damaged at one point or another. It isn’t meant to last a lifetime for two reasons: a new model will be released soon after and technology continues to get better every day.

The iPad repair confusion also stems from the fact that there are so many self-proclaimed Apple geniuses online that it becomes hard to distinguish the authentic technical support from the guys who want to mess with your iPad.

The general first rule with any device is to have the unit serviced before the warranty wears off. Get it cleaned or spruced up by the accredited Apple center closest to you. If the warranty period is over, then the real work starts.

Choosing an iPad Repair Company

Look for recommendations from people you know and trust. They don’t have to be people you know personally. It could be a trusted website, some random guy you have befriended online and have grown to trust, or a friend who has gone through similar problems. With the iPad, you can expect this not to be the only problem you will encounter. It’s almost 80% sure that there will be other concerns about the gadget as it ages. It isn’t an Apple issue but something that we all understand with these kinds of gadgets.

You should also consider browsing through the Internet for online solutions. There are a number of highly recommended websites with impeccable reputation for not steering you the wrong direction. You can check feedback from the website or just look up the website’s rating with Better Business Bureau or something akin to this organization.

One of the advantages of using a business online is that the turn-around-time is generally really quick. Like most computers shops, if you bring your iPad to a land-based shop, the chances of it sitting there for days without being worked is very high. On top of the prolonged and often frustrating service is the high cost of repairs.

To understand why online iPad repair shops are able to provide better service is because it’s easy to contact them, they usually have drop-off points in convenient areas, they are licensed and certified by Apple, and they do excellent work. Before you get confused about online repair shops, these are Apple-accredited shops that have land-based service centers. The website is used as an alternative to getting in touch with the center but you don’t get serviced over the Internet.

The online iPad repair shop will require you to mail in your damaged unit and when the unit is in back to fine form; it is mailed back to you. Furthermore, since these online offers are savings on certain overhead expenses, they are able to pass on the savings to their clients. The legitimate ones also offer Live Chat and even free diagnostics.

One last note on the iPad repair, double check that the website is Apple certified and can be contacted by phone. Once you cannot verify the business details of a website, start doubting its offer after all, you will be trusting them with your precious iPad.

The Google Nexus 7 is an oversized smartphone repair, just as the tablet is an oversized smartphone. Makes sense, right? Good.

The guys at direct fix put together and excellent video detailing how to disassemble the Nexus 7.

First you remove the back case with a pry tool. Simple enough.

Watch the video to see exactly how it is done. There is not point in writing it out. It is not a hard repair but it is important to follow each step carefully. If you have never repaired a device like this before, it may be best to consult a professional.

If you have water damage issues, walk-in or mail-in services at a repair shop is likely the best way to go.

I like working with tablets because there is more space to work with. If you are an older person whose eyes are betraying you, you may know what I mean.

Digitizers and LCD combos cost over $100 so a mistake can be costly. This is the best of the smaller tablets so once it is repaired, enjoy!

If you have any questions call a repair shop and they will tell you the best route to take. Most services will charge $50 for labor. If you see their final price is more that $50 greater than the cost of a part, ask them if you can mail the part in and and get charged $50 extra. There is no point in paying more than $50 in what should take about an hour to fix. Water damage can be trickier but that should be the general cost.

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G is a great phone. Like most Samsung phones though, the value in getting the digitizer/lcd replaced may not be worth it. Like other Samsung phones though, water damage repair will work the majority of the time, as the water damaged Blaze phones do clean up nicely.

The price of the digiter/lcd combo is around $140 and right now on eBay you can buy a used Blaze 4G phone for a little over $200. So realistically, if you wanted to fix the phone yourself it may be worth it. If you wanted to send into a repair shop, the final cost would likely hover around $190 so it may not be worth it. That’s up to the consumer obviously but you should know going in that a used phone is about the same price.

This is nothing new, as most Samsung smartphones come with very expensive glass. With quality parts though comes and easier to repair water damage probability, so it’s hard to complain.

You can expect most repair services to not offer this repair when it comes to screen repair. This is not always true and some will fix it, but don’t expect anyone to have the parts in stock. If you mail it in you might as well not pay extra for express shipping. If they have to order the part anyways, what is the point?

Overall this is a great phone. It’s not the top-of-the-line as far as Samsung Galaxy phones are concerned but they are solid and I’d take it over most if not all HTC and Motorola phones. The 5mp camera is a bit of a bummer but it’s fast and looks great, with prices looking very nice for the holidays.

If you have any questions regarding the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G phone let one of our affiliated smartphone repair services know.

A 5-inch screen with a ultra-high resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels is something worth getting interested in. The 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor also helps. The only complaints over time may be battery power (up to 10 hours) and the fact you can’t add a MicroSD card, which is disappointing.

With a large screen comes a decent chance of cracking it. As of now the Droid DNA is backordered through most repair companies that offer DNA repair services. The price is hefty too, ranging from $250 and higher, which is substantially lower than getting a new one at $700. If you screen is tolerable even if a bit cracked, you may want to wait a bit for prices and availability to get better because they almost always do.

The rest of the phone is solid and may show scuff marks, but the hard plastic back should be tough to crack.

If you want to attempt a DIY, waiting for screen/LCD assemblies to be available at an affordable price is a good idea as well. If looking for a service, again, waiting can save dollars. If you want or need it fixed as quickly as possible, most services won’t be carrying the part, so you will likely have to pre-order so they can order it.

People ask me all of the time how I build websites, how I produce the video’s and how to grow a network. If the person is already ‘in the profession’ I tell them to get feedback. But if they are beginners, I ask them whey they want to know. Let’s say you are a good writer but don’t know anything about building website but you do have great interest in video editing. In that case, I would tell you to outsource or find a cheap alternative web service to get a website and start learning video editing with basic software like iMovie (depending on your previous experience).

This is what everyone should do. While we can offer web services, it is partnerships we are looking for as we are not focused on the web building aspect. So, far more often than not, people who need a website don’t need me, they need something else.

So who and how to get started?

There are many ways or things that can help you create your very first website. Thousands of articles are posted on the internet and these can aid you in giving you tips on how to start and what kind of online web creator software you need.

If you are bored of reading too many topics and texts about website making, you can also watch some videos online. YouTube is full of “how to create a website for free” videos. There are people who post video blogs that teach first time website makers to put a start to their online presence. Browsing the internet can greatly help you if you are determined to get started. If you’re the type of person that is busy and do not have enough time to browse website articles and tutorials or learn the process, as mentioned, you can hire an expert that knows how to create a website. Professional website designers and developers can easily help you out. They can also give you some advice on how to maintain your website and update the content later.

You can also use online website builder software from a company like Iconosites. These are more for business professionals, and you can use your own custom domain name and pay a small monthly hosting fee. This is an incredibly easy way to get your business online in an almost instant fashion.

An early mistake I made early on is ‘never saying no’ and taking on projects that were not ‘worth it’ to me. By giving sound advice and recommending a quality service that fits their needs, you are setting up business at a later date through them or one of their friends. This is networking and it’s something they don’t teach you in school.
